Love Your Car a SMART Auto Paint Repair Company

Love Your Car is an independent mobile SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technique) auto paint repair business formed by owner/operator Glenn Hale who has now been personally established in the trade since 2006 - with a further 25 years of experience within the transport industry. The mobile nature of the business allows Love Your Car to visit you at your convenience and carry out the job whether at your home or place work.

Love Your Car is based in Chelmsford, Essex, but also covers Braintree, Witham and the surrounding areas (see the Areas Covered page for full list). Affordable repairs to all makes and models can be undertaken – from a Mercedes to a Mazda; from a Fiat to a Ferrari.

The Advantages of SMART Repair

Time – because a SMART repair concentrates on a smaller area of the car, we can restore your vehicle to its former glory usually within just a few hours - which in most cases is a lot quicker than a conventional body shop.

Cost – focussing on fixing the immediate problem rather than having to respray the entire panel means utilising SMART methods will often cost you less than conventional body shop techniques - and usually a lot less than your insurance excess!

Convenience – being a mobile operation means that Love Your Car can visit you wherever it is convenient rather than you having to travel to a body shop and leave your car there, often for days!

How SMART Repair Works

SMART repairs utilise the same quality materials and paints as a body shop, but specially-designed spray guns, lacquers and drying techniques allow us to complete the job in a more cost-effective and timely manner. The three main parts of the process are as follows:

  1. Preparation of the damaged area which involves sanding, applying filler where appropriate and priming
  2. Having used a computerised paint-matching system, colour is then carefully sprayed blending it seamlessly into the undamaged area
  3. To complete the paint repair, lacquer is applied and then dried using specialist infa-red lamps. Once cooled, the area is machine polished to the original finish, leaving your vehicle looking as good as new
